Compiling 3drad projects

If you use sub directories in your projects folder, it helps a lot with organization,
.
Buuut...

When you go to compile your project(s), you'll get a notice about a missing file.. The .cmp file.

This is basically a bug in 3drad, it assumes all projects are in the main project folder and expects the .cmp file to be there too, even though if you run your project from a sub-folder, the .cmp file will be saved in that sub-folder too..

2 possible solutions here, move the .cmp file to the main projects folder, or don't use sub-folders, or move the project back to the main projects folder before running it to create the .cmp file...

THANKS 3drad for this annoyance !.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the CMP files are only for compiling optimisation, right?

yes @nicusorn5 , if you ever compile a 3drad project without that .cmp file, your project could be a few hundred MB's instead of 30 or 40mb...

an app not doing what you want it to do is not necessarily a bug, folder structure is just  a confine that you must work within.
