Hello there. I have few things to update about 3DRadSpace development. ((TL;DR) BOLD )
First of all, there was a lot of progress the last days, so if I keep it like this, I can release the first public alpha in about 2 weeks. And I will try my best to keep working on this project. Most GUIs were done, 3DRadSpaceDll is 95 % done, there's only testing to be made.
Second of all, I'm thinking about making a new forum for 3DRadSpace (it might be too early) , or even reopening 3drad.boards.net for 3DRadSpace and moving the older posts (uhh change the domain name?) . ClassDev feels kinda limited, and unorganized (where do I keep 3DRadSpace releases in a separate category? (as a example) ). I'm also thinking about a dedicated forum host, but that will require money, and you will need to donate some money to keep the forum alive and stuff. For voting there's a poll there: https://www.strawpoll.me/19544357
Third of all, if everything goes well, all public releases will be avalable on GitHub and in the forums.
@athanatos, I'd say make a dedicated forum for it. Whether it'd be ProBoards or any other solution it doesn't matter. My experience shows that it's the best for a community to not mix a wide range topics and products, but rather be around a specific topic/product. That's why if you plan to go more serious on your product (3DRadSpace), then you should consider making your own dedicated forum.
ClassDev is slowly going to change its purpose anyway, so that's another reason
That's why if you plan to go more serious on your product (3DRadSpace)
At the end of the day, 3DRadSpace's goal is to be a engine better than the OG 3D Rad. I'm not really sure about getting real serious with it, since I don't expect much feedback and success from it except than fellow OG 3D Rad users.
I see that the most votes are now for a dedicated forum, I'll have to setup a donation page and some related stuff, BUT I'm sure that I won't get any donation since the community is too small. ClassDev barely got any donation from some users.
