its been a long time coming but i eventually always wanted to make a thread like this and now i finally have the chance to
making a fully-fledged funtional  game is something i've had in my head for a long time, years maybe, and following the people from this community, reading tutorials, requests for help and everything, has been of great help
i've actually been posting since the old 3d rad forum in 2014, even if only very occasionally, but i've really started to take this whole game designer thing seriously just recently and thanks to intense necro lurking on classdev, 3d rad forum and 3d rad foundry this has been a lot easier to make into a reality, so i wanted to express my gratitude to the community for indirectly giving me a hand when in need

its not my first attempt at making a game but i feel like its the one where i can fully consider myself proud of the result

its not even out yet, i dont want to make this look like a shill thread, but if you have any suggestion from the little footage i can show so far, itd be very helpful

Oh wow, it looks very promising! The trailer is cinematic and cool looking, the game color palette also looks very vibrant, which makes it stand out. Good job!

It worked smoothly for me.
I love the biography as well as the character design, it was hilarious and entertaining.
As for the gameplay, it was very hard and I kind of didn't like the way it goes back to loading screen to restart the round. Each took about 20 secs, not acceptable to me.

Otherwise, this game is challenging and I love challenges. As I seen from your trailer, I was actually excited when there is a purple floating ball that shoots in every direction.
Then, the character design is memorable for me. I wonder what the rest of the characters will look like.

thanks, i was worried about the difficulty level but since death seems to be frequent i'm currently fixing all the levels so that when you die it just restarts the level without loading

Wow, its an awesome game so far! Its really really challenging, but also fun! It was so hard in fact I couldnt even beat the guy :P The only thing to fix was the mouse sensitivity, which was kinda low, but other than that, good job!

is that so? i've never heard anyone talk about mouse sensitivity, here or in other places
but i'll keep it in mind in case i hear other complaints

i have updated the demo, now there is no more loadings when you die and the enemy should get stuck in the walls anymore

So after countless of try, I finally managed to win the game. Here's a picture so I could brag about it
. Anyway, It took me several tries to figure out the level design, obstacles, and timing.. similar to unfair mario game.

Bugs I have noticed:
-) The rocket cooldown didn't reset after restarting the round. If I died in a second after I launched a rocket, I still have to wait the remaining cooldown time before I able to shoot again.
-) It seems the AI still get stuck in a corner especially when it faced at the corner, there is no way the AI could escape unless it has unblock maneuver.

noted, i'll be fixing this in the next update

ahhh that part is so tricky i hate it, they always get stuck somehow, i try everything but they always find a way, you tried the new version right?
EDIT: yeah i found that bug too, oh my god i can't wait to have to edit other 4 levels until i find whats wrong

i added a death counter and made some cleaning in the project, so if you notice an improvement in the loadings tell me since im not sure

this time i skipped the menu screen since it seems to work fine and there's no further need to post it

can someone help me understand why sometimes counters linked to event on values get activated twice at once? for example when i get hit i get hit the double or when i die, i die two times
it's not game breaking but it can look very bad

I noticed that too, my death count was 2, then when I died again it adds another 2.
EoV is pretty bugged I suppose.

well for the death count the answer was pretty easy, all i had to do was to set the trigger between 0 and 0, which is something that looking back was very obvious
still not sure of how to fix getting hit multiple times at once tho

i have even set up a event on time cooldown to avoid getting instakilled if a rigidbody triggers the counter for an extended period of time, so the problem has to be of the event on contact
