Fps with appropriate jumping?

so, i'm attempting to make an fps with platformer elements, i'm using the 1stpersoncamera and setting up the velocity/force to make me jump has the problem that i can't move in any direction when i'm on the air
replacing the default directions of the camera with 4 forces/velocities is even more problematic because they don't follow the directions of the camera even when i select local orientator, which makes things worse because i cant move at all then, plus not even those can be used the moment i jump, making the movements on air wonky

do i need to script or is there a solution that doesnt involve it? i ask this because i'm still not very practical with coding, either way big thanks in advance to whoever can help me out

The forces are relative to the camera's rotation, so that's the problem. I haven't used the original 3D Rad for a long while ( more than 1 years) so yeah, I don't really know to be honest.

I think I have an old project that had proper FPS jumping and stuff (with the help of others). I was planning to make a fun school project out of it titled "Sio Drinker", but it never really took of :P Ill send a link to the file tomorrow, if its not solved already.

ok so i found this video where it basically does what i do but it also puts the velocity on the ground instead of up the air, the jumps are a lot smoother as a result, not perfect if your jumps are not that tall but its already a good improvement
