Hey yall,

Its been a while since I posted something about my own projects. Here's one (if you remember) from the older forums. I've worked on it a bit over the last few months and I thought I'd share some of my progress with you all, in a dev log style similar to what @timestopdev is doing. (Just don't expect consistent updates tho :P)

I've attached an image of what it looked like when I first showed it, just to remind you.

A few months ago I added a simple day night cycle, complete with god rays in the mornings and the works!

Here's a vid!

I'm not that happy with the transition from day to night, however cause the lighting jumps quite badly.

Constructive Criticisms are more than welcome!

(Its just a screen recording, so some music I was playing got in there too, my bad)

Thanks everyone, sorry for the large silence.

@kulu, I already have a few that clip through by accident, maybe I should flesh those out more

I started playing a bit with multiplayer and made my own system overriding the built in multiplayer support. In a sort of fashion where one player hosts the game and the server simply acts as a relay between players. Will post an update soon

Wild Dream Prototype update 1

Surprise, I'm back on this. I thought I would finally get around to finishing something at least
.

* I sketched out a few "quests" for the game and a story to go along with it.
* Added the village you see in the pictures to facilitate the quests

Some background:
This game takes place in a world where civilization has established itself on top of "islands" of massive pillars, the pillars stretch down into the depths and no body knows what's down there, at least there's no way to read the ancient texts people have collected and no body alive knows.

Anyways, in this world, people are trying to reach outward to neighboring pillar islands, which they do by growing great trees and bringing them down to form bridges. You play as a young girl with an inventive mind, who had to escape the destruction of her own village by something that emerged from the depths.
Her new village is growing a great tree, but she fears it might not grow fast enough, and there might be something she could find in that ancient knowledge that might help.

What do you guys think?

Wow!! looking good. Cant wait to see more. Do you have videos to show how it plays? are you going to be releasing playtest versions during development? I really dig the story, quite simple , yet very fantasy like and grand.

i really like the style, reminds me of the aesthetics of ps1 games, but in a good way, its a good fit for  an engine so old

Thanks everyone!

I don't have much in the way of gameplay yet, just a system to enter and exit buildings in place at the moment (Old GTA games style, where the interior of the house is under the map lol) Trying to flesh out the story and mechanics together, hopefully that's a good approach

I'll put out a test version once I have something you guys could have some fun with.
