well if you get it on steam you can get it for a much cheaper price. Steam has very good regional pricing also the steam summer sale is going on right now so you can get lots of games at a much cheaper price. https://store.steampowered.com/ in India it is 339 rupees which are 5$ USD.
i only found this cheap price direct from the kerbal store, even looking at their affiliates sites all listed it at $39.00 not 17.00 .. besides i also wanted the PC desktop version, not steam version.
According to support when you buy the PC version you dont get the steam version too, and visa-versa.. it seems kerbal wants twice the money if you want both versions..
You cant even transfer the purchase from one platform to the other anymore.. apparently before they did support this, but not now for the newer versions.
Even though it looks cartoony like game, it's deceiving, it requires you to lean or know a lot of details in designing and running things in order to get a good end result.
Like building your first rocket, you select the capsule first, then a parachute second... this is exactly the opposite direction i would have gone to designing... I would have built the rocket first from the engines up, but now i see thats wrong, because the capsule is what you are shooting into space, its size and design and weight are what you need to know before you design the engines or you may have to go back and redesign to get the proper power output and size..
I always prefer a non-DRM version of a game but the thing is, they are usually more expensive, rarely on sale also tough to keep track of. I gave this game a try once and was just overwhelmed by the complexity it can offer. I really like strategy games but sometimes if there is too much going on in life I can't give it the energy required to play a lot of these games.
as you can see where I live it is about 5 USD, whereas in Canada it is about 13.2 USD and in the USA it's about 16 USD.
and, according to your screencap, it seems that the "base price" is higher than that of US but I guess it might be a mistake but the base prices of different countries are different as well. Here it is about 12.46
The first issue i see is you're linking a 3rd party app, not the real steam store.. the prices are different, but you have to look at the dollar conversion, scroll down the list, you'll see the canadian and US prices at what i claimed, your price is for your country, they are not equal dollar for dollar... the value has to go through currency exchange rates.
there isn't really much difference between the 2. ok so what I know is that if you buy it on steam you have to pay 17.59 CAD but if you buy from there site it will cost you about 23.14 CAD (because it doesn't have regional pricing so you will have to pay in USD equivalent price.
